Day 1 - Leaving Gibraltar and onwards to France.Match reports will appear here once received from the management team in France.
The girls have swapped 30°c sunshine for 17°c and rain as they landed in France. Spirits are high, despite the delay at Malaga airport. The girls are on their way to the hotel.
Day 2 - Training
The day was a combination of training and recovery to prepare for the games commencing on July 12th.
Day 3 - Match Day 1
With the weatehr set t be a mixed bag of sun and showers the squad were preparing themselves for two games, one of which was the opening match of the competition.
The second game was at 18:00 against Belarus. With some time to recover between games and analyse the first game it was time focus and bed dwn for the second game.
Spirits are still high after the experiences today.
Day 4 - Match Day 2
Time for a morning walk with some stretching and thoughts about the day ahead.
With the squad opening proceedings for day 2 of the competition against Croatia. The game was well fought with the team loosing 9-0. Brielle is fine after being low to the ground and taking a stick to the face. She has some butterfly stitches across her nose and left eyebrow. They make them rock hard in Gibraltar, just like our rock!
With the team playing again at 16:00 against the Welsh it is time to grab some recovery time, including lunch to fuel up for the game against the Welsh.
After a great game by the squad they played good hockey and battled to the end against Wales. During the first third the team held their own with some good hockey being played. The team also had a good end to the last third. Well done girls, time to rest!
Day 5 -
A day to pick up on game play and tatics as the final pool games are played along with the semi finals.
